Pre Treatment System
Pretreatment Water Plant
Overview
A Pretreatment Water Plant is the first and essential stage in any industrial or pharmaceutical water purification system. It removes suspended solids, chlorine, organics, and hardness to protect and enhance the performance of downstream purification units like RO, EDI, or WFI systems.
The pretreatment process typically includes a combination of filtration (sand and carbon), chemical dosing (antiscalant, chlorine neutralization, pH correction), and softening units. By stabilizing the incoming water quality, it ensures consistent output, minimizes downtime, and supports compliance with strict regulatory standards such as USP, FDA, WHO, and GMP.
Pretreatment plants are designed for high reliability and can be customized for varying water sources like borewell, municipal, or surface water. Their integration is essential for safeguarding water purification systems and ensuring smooth, uninterrupted production in critical applications.
