WFI Storage & Distribution System
Once WFI is produced, it is stored and distributed under controlled and sterile conditions. WFI storage and distribution systems are engineered to prevent microbial growth, maintain hot temperature (>80°C), and ensure zero dead-leg design throughout the loop.
Features
- SS316L electropolished storage tanks with 0.2 µm vent filters and sanitary spray balls
- Continuous recirculation loop (typically at 80–85°C) to prevent microbial growth
- Orbital welded piping with Ra < 0.6 µm and drainability design
- UV disinfection and double tube sheet heat exchangers
- Inline instrumentation: conductivity, TOC, temperature, pressure, and flow meters
- Sanitization by heat (for ambient WFI)
- SCADA/PLC controlled with real-time trend logging and alarms
